Neptune-Benson is a designer and manufacturer of environmentally-friendly filtration systems, recirculation components, and filter accessories to the big-water recreational aquatics industry. The company’s filters can be found in commercial and municipal water recreation facilities, resorts, water parks, zoos and aquariums across 50 states and 40 countries.
Expanded products, end markets and geographic reach, making Neptune-Benson a global leader in water treatment for commercial aquatics, industrial, and municipal markets.
Headquartered in Coventry, Rhode Island, Neptune-Benson, Inc. (“Neptune”) is a leading provider of regenerative media filters, microsand filters, UV disinfection, and accessories. Audax recognized the opportunity to extend the company’s market leading position in commercial aquatics filtration to complementary products and additional end markets.
Prior Audax’ investment in 2011, Neptune had developed best in class technologies for aquatic filtration applications. Neptune did not have sales or customer relationships outside the commercial aquatics space. Audax and management acquired and integrated five acquisitions, expanding the company into industrial and municipal end markets, international markets, and complementary product lines and applications.
Audax supported the Neptune-Benson management team in acquiring and integrating five adjacent businesses, attracting additional management talent, and scaling the company’s systems to position it for continued growth.
In April 2016, Neptune was sold to Evoqua Water Technologies.
"The Audax team was instrumental in providing the resources and support to expand the business through acquisitions and position us for a strategic exit.” Ken Rodi, CEO, Neptune-Benson
"Ken and the Neptune-Benson team were excellent partners throughout our investment. They did a terrific job expanding Neptune-Benson’s leadership position in water treatment.” Geoff Rehnert, Co-CEO, Audax Group
