Our latest funding cycle closely follows the publication of the Audax Charitable Foundation’s 2024 Annual Report and Audax Private Equity’s Service Day, which saw a record number of ACF grantees take part.
BOSTON and SAN FRANCISCO – July 9, 2025 – The Audax Charitable Foundation (“ACF”), a 501(c)(3) organization operated by Audax Private Equity to support local grassroot charities, announced today its newest grantees, selected as part of the ACF’s spring funding cycle. Following this latest round of funding, ACF has now awarded grants to 47 charities, representing $2.37 million in total commitments since the inception of the Audax Charitable Foundation in 2021.
As part of this latest funding cycle, the ACF selection committee awarded six $50,000 multi-year grants, a $10,000 extension grant to an existing ACF grantee, and two $7,500 one-time grants to either help scale smaller charitable organizations or address immediate-term needs of local charities.
“We’re thrilled to support the missions of these incredible organizations,” noted Audax Private Equity Partner and Co-President Keith Palumbo. “Our aim through the Foundation is to positively impact the communities where we operate, and each of the new grantees – nominated, vetted and selected by our team members – have already left a significant mark on the people and areas they serve. We hope that with ACF funding, as well as the engagement and advocacy from our team, we can help to amplify their impact over time.”
Among those receiving multi-year commitments from ACF are:
• Children’s Advocacy Center of Suffolk County, whose mission is to unite public, private and community partners to try to ensure safety, healing and justice for children and families impacted by violence, exploitation and abuse;
• FamilyAid Boston, which seeks to empower parents and caregivers facing homelessness to secure and sustain housing and build strong foundations for their children’s futures;
• The Play Ball Foundation Inc., which creates opportunities for students in gateway communities throughout Massachusetts to have sports experiences in middle school to help drive academic engagement and youth development;
• Good Shepherd Community Care, whose Camp Erin Boston program combines grief education and emotional support for children, teens and young adults coping with the serious illness or the death of a family member in a safe environment;
• Food Link, Inc., a previous grantee, whose mission is to create a more equitable food system throughout Greater Boston by rescuing and distributing high-quality, customized food to under-resourced communities;
• Minds Matter Boston, also a previous grantee, that seeks to connect driven and determined students from low-income families with the people, preparation and possibilities to succeed in college.
ACF also awarded special one-time grants to:
• Inquilinos Boricuas en Accion, Inc. (“IBA”), which seeks to empower individuals and families to achieve socio-economic mobility through high-quality affordable housing, education, financial empowerment, and arts programs;
• Junior Achievement of Greater Boston, whose mission is to close wealth and opportunity gaps by giving young people the knowledge and skills they need to own their economic success, plan for their futures, and make smart academic and economic choices.
ACF also awarded an Extension Grant to:
• Boston Day and Evening Academy (BDEA), a 2022 grantee, that seeks to engage young adults to build a vision for their future through supportive relationships and meaningful competency-based learning experiences.
The selection of our Spring Grantees closely follows the publication of the Audax Charitable Foundation’s Annual Report, published in April, as well as Audax Private Equity’s Annual Service Day, held in the second week of May. The engagement and connectivity between Audax and the ACF grantees was particularly evident at the most recent Service Day event, where over 280 team members contributed more than 600 volunteer hours in service of 15 charities that have received grants from the Foundation. The Service Day reception was held at Artists for Humanity, which is also an ACF grantee.
“When we launched the Audax Charitable Foundation in 2021, core to our mission was to provide a channel for our entire team to support issues and causes they feel passionate about in their local communities,” noted Young Lee, Partner and Co-President of Audax Private Equity. “All of the credit for the considerable traction over the past four years goes to our team members who make it happen, from nominating charities and selecting grants to committing their time, proficiencies and passions to the important causes being addressed by the ACF grantees.”
“We’re thrilled to support six new charities as part of this funding cycle, and at the same time, build upon our relationships with the three existing ACF grantees who either received new multi-year commitments or received an Extension Grant,” added Pamela Martin, Senior Managing Director at Audax Private Equity. “The work and dedication of the charities we support has been truly inspiring and we’re honored to back and hopefully augment their efforts to address and solve for the challenges facing vulnerable and under-resourced populations in Boston and San Francisco.”
