Grantee Case Study: The Food Drive

Mission

The Food Drive is a community-driven hunger relief and food-rescue operation that provides grassroots, hyperlocal solutions for food insecurity.

ACF Commitment

In Spring 2025, the ACF partnered with The Food Drive for the first time, with its grant supporting its work to address food insecurity and food waste across communities north of Boston.

The Food Drive distributes rescued, surplus, and donated food seven days a week, year-round, reaching approximately 125,000 people across ten communities north of Boston.

The Food Drive makes food-rescue deliveries daily, operates community freezers, organizes neighborhood food drives, maintains community donation bins, delivers hot restaurant meals, and operates an emergency gift card program.

Transformative Goals

“The best way to end hunger is to take care of each other. The support of the Audax Charitable Foundation is helping The Food Drive do just that. This grant will have a tremendous ongoing impact on our mission to feed our neighbors, and we’re incredibly grateful.”
