Grantee Case Study: Boston Community Pediatrics
Mission
To bring income and racial equity to pediatric healthcare by providing all families—particularly low-income households—with comprehensive, high-quality, culturally competent care.
ACF Commitment
In Spring 2023, Boston Community Pediatrics was awarded a $50,000 multi-year grant with a goal of supporting BCP's integrated care navigation and wellness program, leading to positive changes in patients' social determinants of health (SDOH) and mental health outcomes.
With ACF's help, Boston Community Pediatrics expanded space to serve 1,500 patients a year, with the intention of growing over the next few years to serve 1,750 patients annually.
ACF's grant also helped expand its capacity to support families in crisis through partnerships addressing hygiene, food, clothing, diapers, and menstrual insecurity.
